Shrink Wrap Boat Protection in Croatia – Dry Dock by TriM Nautica
As part of the Dry Dock by TriM Nautica program, we recently completed another shrink wrap installation – this time on a 7-meter motorboat. With precise measuring and thermal shrinking, the vessel is now fully protected from sun, moisture, dust, and salt, ready for winter storage and transport.
During the process, we also installed a door zip for easy access to the interior and several ventilation caps that ensure constant airflow, preventing condensation and mold inside the boat.

Our installation process
- Boat inspection – measuring and identifying key features (rails, roll-bar, mast, flybridge)
- Protection of sensitive parts – using soft foam and protective tape
- Applying the film – 200–300 micron shrink film with reinforcement
- Thermal shrinking – using heat gun for perfect tension and fit
- Ventilation and door zip – installed for airflow and access
- Final check – verifying tension, sealing, and wind resistance
